The Columnist is primarily for converting a
column of data into multiple columns by
record. This can be of great value if, for
example, you have a mailing list program that
does not support, say, three-across labels,
but will let you dump your data to an ASCII
text file for COLUMN to convert. COLUMN's
output can be sent directly to the printer or
to a text file. (Asysta Consultants)

DATAPUB.ZIP Yes 73611 4/7/1994
Database Publisher lets you store up to
1,000 records per diskette and then, using
any dot matrix printer set to 136 characters
per line, it will print on both sides of 8.5
x 11 paper which you can then fold lengthwise
and staple to produce an attractive booklet
or brochure. The program is pretty flexible.
For example, you could store short articles
as records and your booklet becomes a
magazine. But the most common usage would
probably be as a brochure describing products
or services. If you put names and addresses
in the database, the program will also print
mailing labels. (The author is no longer at
the address listed in the documentation.)
This is very easy to operate, using function
keys for most commands. EGA/VGA and a dot
